BUILDERS CLEAN: Expectations - Delivery - Standards
A builders clean is performed after construction work is complete but before final handover. It prepares the property for snagging and inspection.
What a Builders Clean Includes:
Removal of Protection Materials
- Removal of all protection from floors, windows, and thresholds
- Disposal of protective sheeting and coverings
Internal Cleaning
- Clean inside of cupboards, kitchen cabinets and wardrobes and appliances
- Wipe all surfaces and thresholds ensuring wherever possible dust free surfaces
- Vacuum all floors and skirting
- Mop floors to reduce further dust settling
Window and Glass Cleaning Using our 3 "C" system:
- CHECK - Check for damage before cleaning
- CLEAN - Using least abrasive methods
- CHECK - Report any damage or flaws directly to Site Manager
Builders Clean Standard
A builders clean should leave the property in a reasonably dust free condition so that snagging works can be identified by Site Manager or Clerk of Works.
